Reign (OSI)

Reigning in the Past

a brief and accidental encounter

igniting a waning
ember of remembrance.
apparitions
from the past re-emerge.
what I had known
now I do not.
convergence of two worlds
melding into one.
wanting to do
the right thing.
sometimes doing
other times not.
my head or my heart-
something is bound to explode!
competing against a foe
I can't beat (myself)

  5. The head, or the heart? Always a struggle, especially in areas of relationship. Your poem puts the struggle to words.

  6. Hoff;

Thanks for dropping by...I checked on your profile and there's nothing I would have to learn all about you! You're elusive huh! Do writers should?

I love your poem...there's a struggle, and more often than not, we are confused...it always is!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem!

  8. It is more complicated than head vs heart. It is usually head vs flaws..a good time to side with the head against flawed self.
